First Aid for Familes for your private group by zoom in our virtual classroom: 2 hours

This essential two-hour course teaches baby and child first aid. It also covers basic life support emergency life-saving skills and is ideal for carers, parents, parents-to-be, guardians and grandparents, giving them confidence and skills to deal with emergencies. Each session is bespoke and tailored to the needs and interests of the individual group. If you would prefer ‘in-person’ training, we can arrange this too!

We want the course to be a rewarding experience for you and work closely with you to find the best day and time of day to deliver the session.

Participants are welcome to attend independently or with their child(ren). Our consultant will guide participants on getting the best experience from this training with children in attendance.

Course Contents

• Dealing with emergencies
• Priority of treatment 
• Contents of a First Aid Kit
• Care of casualty including non-responsive and breathing 
• Recovery position
• Child and Baby Resuscitation CPR (demonstration) if the group wish to practice this we recommend an in-person training session
• Dealing with bleeding, head injuries and shock
• Febrile convulsions and meningitis
• How to respond if a baby or child is choking

Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance. This session does not enable you to be defined as a qualified First Aider; if you would like to undertake either a 6 or 12-hour course, please ask us for details.
