*If you do not want to complete the eLearning module and instead join us for 1 Day Emergency Paediatric First Aid (Nannies joining the OFSTED Voluntary Register can choose between the 1 day and 12 hour courses) just let us know and we will register you according to your preferences.

How Blended Learning works:
- Each Learner is given their own unique login code to access 6 hours of interactive online Paediatric First Aid training.
- The eLearning portal is live 24/7, which gives you the freedom to choose when you want to learn.
- Learners can log in and out either completing all the units which make up the eLearning module in one session or by logging in for shorter periods completing this assignment over several days.
- All that we require is that you successfully complete the eLearning 72 hours before your classroom/practical day. For example, if the classroom/practical day is on a Saturday, the deadline for the full completion of the eLearning module is 72 hours beforehand.
- The eLearning module can be easily accessed from computers, laptops and tablets and your phone
Classroom Day
When you have completed the eLearning module you will attend a one-day practical Classroom Day in our training room (dates available throughout the year)
- The Classroom Day runs from 9.15-5.00-5.15 in our Bow training room in London, 5 minutes walk from Mile End Station. It is easily reached by several tube lines, DLR and buses and is not in the congestion zone.
- The classroom day begins promptly and Learners are required to attend the whole day from beginning to end in order that the Trainer can ensure they have covered every module.
- You will be taught in small groups (12 maximum)
- If you are unsure which Classroom Day date you require, you can complete your eLearning module first and then book your Classroom Day. (If you prefer that option, just let one of the Riverside Training Company team know when you are ready to book your Classroom Day, and we’ll let you know available dates. You must complete the Classroom Day within 7 weeks of completing your eLearning.
Last Minute Bookings
If you purchase the course very close to the date of the classroom/practical day, we will agree with you on a deadline for completion of eLearning that reflects this. In all circumstances, eLearning must be completed by that agreed deadline for a Learner to study towards Paediatric First Aid 12 hours. Learners will be swapped to Emergency Paediatric First Aid 6 hours, if eLearning is not completed by the deadline. If you are unsure if you will complete your eLearning in time, please arrange for a team member to contact you during office hours to discuss the best option for you. We aim to choose a realistic deadline that you can and wish to achieve when you make your booking.
Your Certificate
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be issued an eCertificate by the awarding body. Ofsted accepts eCertificates. Certificates take up to 10 working days to arrive – typically 5 working days. Upon request, we can write confirmation that a learner has passed on the Monday following the course date, which can be presented as proof of passing in advance of receiving certification. This course is suitable for both individual learners and groups. Individual learners can join our public dates or we can arrange a session for your group on a day and date of your choosing to be delivered in your setting or training room/ classroom or we can arrange a training room for you.
